Launch your career

As you are probably aware, there are thousands of people who will excel in their A-levels, attend top-notch universities and perform well at interview.

Your status as a Deloitte Scholar is a guaranteed way to make your CV or application form stand out from the crowd for the rest of your professional career. The work experience and skills you will have gained in your time as a Scholar will provide you with a head start at any interview.

In terms of Deloitte's own recruitment process, you will have the opportunity to advance immediately to the Final Assessment Day if you decide to join us full time as a graduate.

If you are successful at this final stage and join our Graduate Scheme, you are likely to be ahead of the game - both in terms of the roles you will perform and your salary (depending on the service line and annual performance appraisal). In appropriate circumstances, we encourage early promotion to recognise the quality of the work you have performed for us and experience you gained before joining as a graduate.

If you want to pursue the ICAEW ACA qualification (Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales and Association of Chartered Accountants), the experience you obtain during your gap year placement may count towards the number of days of technical experience you are required to complete in order to qualify. The Institute requires that, for placements to count, they must be at least 13 consecutive weeks in duration. As a result, those undertaken while at university cannot count towards the qualification.

As a Scholar, your exposure to our people, our clients, our business and our work ethic should mean that you are a step ahead of the many other graduates who will be competing for a full time position with the firm.
