Please closely examine our page on Academic Requirements before applying. Should you have mitigating circumstances we will investigate these once you have applied.

Beyond application

Once you have submitted your application, a member of our Scholar team will review the information and contact you as soon as a decision has been made.

If you are successful, we will invite you to sit an online verbal and numerical reasoning test. If you are interested in practising your skills at numerical and verbal reasoning please follow this link http://practicetests.cubiks.com/. Please note that this is an external site and the questions are only similar and not identical to those used in our selection process.

Full instructions and sample questions are given when you enter the test site. We will be performing random re-tests on a sample of individuals to verify the results, so you must ensure you are honest in completing the test without assistance.

Following this, you will be invited to a pre-screen telephone interview. Our pre-screen interview will take place over the phone and is designed to further assess your career motivation and communication skills. Your assessor will be looking for you to demonstrate a good level of verbal communication and expand on your reasoning for applying to Deloitte and your knowledge of the Scholars Scheme.

The call will be no more than 10 – 15 minutes.

Hints and Tips for telephone screen
The information you provide during these calls will help your assessor decide whether to invite you to attend a first stage interview and you will be informed of the outcome of your pre-screen interview via email.

You will be asked to log in to our recruitment site to schedule a convenient time for the call. To ensure there is no delay to moving your application forward you will be asked to schedule a date within the next 3-4 working days. If this isn’t convenient you will be able to contact our team to discuss alternative dates.

We recommend that you re-read your application form again as the call will cover career motivation and so you should remind yourself of what you detailed on your application. You can do this by logging in to our online recruitment site to view your completed application.

It is also worth reviewing the scholar pages on the website explaining our career motivation competency area so that you have an understanding of what we are looking for from a successful applicant.

Successful candidates will be invited to a first interview and group exercise held in our London office with a manager from the business or a member of the Scholars team, held at a mutually convenient time. This will last approximately two hours. The interview and assessment will be based on a number of competencies that we deem to be important traits for a Deloitte Scholar. You will be asked to think of examples from your personal history that demonstrate the required competencies.

The group exercise will be assessing how you communicate with your peers, resolve problems and how you react to situations.

The final stage is an Assessment Day based at the office you have applied to. The assessment is made up of an 'e-tray' exercise and a partner interview. For the e-tray exercise you will be presented with a number of e-mails. Based on these e-mails and further information provided during the session, you will be expected to form a number of e-mail responses showing your decisions and will be asked to write a short report, summarising your conclusions. Find out more details about the e tray exercises.

The Partner Interview will also be based on a number of competencies. We have detailed these competencies below:
